No time to write?

Call me old fashioned, but I like to send out hand written notes - especially Thank You notes.   This year it seems there just are not enough hours in the day.  A friend of mine told me about this site - so I will be sending out E-thanks this year (to those on my list that have email, anyway!)

thanks

Hi Gene

Hand written notes become a business advantage because so few people are doing it.

Good luck and success

Don't give up your personal notes! Perosnal notes have a PERSONAL touch. People love them. The internet is no substitute. I assure you, e-cards may compliment your current notes system, but they are a very poor substitute. Perosonal contact is the most effective way to facilitate relationships.

I agree with comment above. There is no substitute for the "hand" written note or card. Never will be. Most people blow off email greetings.

I agree. I must have deleted a dozen E-cards in the past week. A personal note has more connection. It took some time and thought to put it together. Happy New Year.

Just picture that person going to their mailbox and sifting & sorting thru all the brown envelopes and then coming upon your personal, hand-written envelope.  What is the reaction?  What is the response?   It is to throw the others down and immediately open yours!   That feeling that you've given them will return everytime they see the note.  They won't throw it in the garbage but place it somewhere special where they will see it often.   That one simple gesture that took you maybe 3 minutes to produce, will provide them with much more over a lasting period of time and that my friend, is irreplaceable.

Thanks for sharing the online version though because there are times when that too is useful!

Hey, Gene. I hope that all is well at your end. Thanks for sharing. I think as long as you express your feelings, be it print or email, you are doing more than most. All my best, Jim

I agree with the group above... especially Susan. I'm the company tech evangelist and I love technology. But...  Every year, I send out a number of simple (very homemade) Christmas/Year End thank you cards. They are all hand written and addressed. The response rate is always great, and I cherish the comments.
